All iPhone 17 Models Will Have 12GB Of RAM. Apple is preparing to release the iPhone 17 this year, which is rumoured to have 12 GB of RAM in all models. This was revealed by the famous leaker ‘Digital Chat Station’ in a post on the Chinese social network Weibo on Tuesday.
According to the leaked information, Apple’s new artificial intelligence feature, Apple Intelligence, is being upgraded to operate optimally. Earlier, famous Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had made a similar analysis. A few days later, the Chinese leaker, who claims to have access to Apple’s supply chain, claimed that all iPhone 17 models will have 12 GB of RAM.
Kuo also said that the iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max will have 12GB of RAM.
Kuo also said that the base model iPhone 17 could also have 12GB of RAM, but that would depend on whether supply chain issues can be resolved. According to him, Apple will make a final decision on the RAM capacity of the regular iPhone 17 model by May.
All iPhone 18 models are expected to have 12GB of RAM. All iPhone 16 models currently available in the market have 8GB of RAM. Therefore, upgrading to 12GB is considered a significant step for the company.
According to MacRumors, more RAM will enable large and powerful AI models to run quickly and efficiently directly on the phone, without relying so much on cloud services. There is current talk in the market about the generative feature of Samsung’s and Apple’s Galaxy AI.
More RAM is said to improve the speed, response time, and complexity of AI on the phone. This 50 per cent increase in RAM will also help with smooth multitasking. Apple is expected to release the iPhone 17 series around September this year, as per its regular schedule.
