HMPV Virus Found In India The HMPV virus that is terrorizing China has also appeared in India. An eight-month-old child has been infected with HMPV in India. This is the first case of this virus in India.
Surprisingly, the child had not travelled outside India. The tests conducted at the hospital’s laboratory confirmed that the child had the HMPV virus in his body. The Karnataka Health Department has informed the Central Government about this.
India on alert
The Indian government has been on alert mode since the outbreak of the HPMV virus in China. The Maharashtra health department is on alert. The governments of Kerala and Telangana are also closely monitoring the news of the large-scale spread of viral fever and respiratory infections in China and are saying that there is no need to panic at present. Officials have been instructed to conduct regular surveys of cold and cough patients. Instructions have also been given to follow hygiene rules.
