This Is How To Put The Nickname Of The Person You Like On Instagram Meta has introduced a nickname feature on Instagram, just like on Messenger. Through this feature, you can give your favourite person a special name that will only be valid for you.
The nickname you choose does not change the person’s account name or username. According to Meta, this feature only applies between two users, which helps make the relationship more fun and personal.
How to keep a nickname?
If you want to set a nickname for someone on Instagram, you can follow the process mentioned below.
- First of all, open the Instagram app.
- Then go to the message icon on the top right.
- Then open the chat of the person you want to nickname.
- Once you’ve done this, tap on the person’s username shown above.
- And, go to the nickname option.
- Then tap where the username of that account appears. And, put the username you want at the bottom.

After typing the name, tap the Done option in the top right.

After you enter the nickname, a notification appears in the message that the nickname has been entered. If you need to change the nickname again, you can tap the update link shown there.
Following the process mentioned above, you can set your nickname after going to the option with your account name. The nickname set here cannot be seen by anyone other than the user using that account. That is, the nickname only applies between two accounts.
