Meta To Launch Its Own Search Engine To reduce the dependence on Google and Microsoft, Facebook’s Mau company Meta is going to bring its own search engine. The company is about to bring a search engine to provide a summary of current events on Meta’s AI chatbot.
Available on Instagram and Facebook, Meta’s AI bot uses Google and Microsoft’s Bing to answer questions related to current events and news. META is going to take such steps to reduce this dependency.
Just last week Meta signed a multi-year deal with news agency Reuters. This will allow Meta’s chatbot to use Reuters news while answering. This step of Meta also helped to bring a search engine.
Recently, various technology companies have tried to create their own search engines. Examples of this are OpenAI and Perplexity. It is also said that Meta is working to bring a new app to compete with Google Maps.
