According to a report by WABetaInfo, older models like the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus will no longer be supported by WhatsApp from May 2025. WABetaInfo has mentioned that these models will not receive further updates after receiving the last software update (iOS 12.5.7).
According to the new policy, iPhones with iOS 15.1 or later will support WhatsApp. If your iPhone has an older iOS version, you will have to buy a new phone to use WhatsApp.
