U-19 Asia Cup: Nepal And Sri Lanka Playing Nepal will play Sri Lanka in its first match of the ACC U-19 Asia Cup starting today in the UAE. The match between Nepal and Sri Lanka in Group B will start at 9 am at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah.
A match will also be played between Bangladesh and Afghanistan in Group B today.
The Nepali team, captained by pace bowler Hemant Dhami, who has played for the national team, has already reached the UAE on Wednesday. Shakti Gauchan is the head coach of Nepal. Nepal had played a series of 5 practice matches against India’s Karnataka U-19 team at home in preparation for the U-19 Asia Cup.
Coach Gauchan has said that the practice match will provide an opportunity to know the strengths and weaknesses of the team and will make it easier to form the team composition. Gauchan, who is coaching the U-19 team for the first time, is hoping to bring good results.
Group B of the U-19 Asia Cup includes India and Pakistan, along with home teams UAE and Japan.
