The main attraction of the NPL trophy is the Kalapathar stone, the base camp of Mount Everest, informed Paras Khadka, secretary of the).Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). He said that this is not only a trophy but also a message to the world to protect the mountains.
Climbing duo Nima Sherpa and Mingma Sherpa brought the stone used in the NPL trophy. They were also honoured with a khada (a type of rice cake) at the trophy unveiling ceremony.
The first edition of the NPL will begin on Mangsir 16 and end on Poush 6.
