Nepal Telecom Became The Highest Tax Paying Company Government-owned telecommunication company Nepal Telecom has topped the list of the best taxpayers for the financial year 2079/80. In a program organized by the Internal Revenue Department on the occasion of National Tax Day, Telecom has been honoured as the company that pays the most income tax.
Telecom has consistently received the honour of the best taxpayer in recent financial years. Shruti Traders has also been honoured for filing the highest income tax among the single firms in that financial year. Similarly, Raj Bahadur Shah, who contributed the most in personal income tax, has been honoured.
Similarly, Kodavatar Tech Pvt Ltd has been honoured as the best taxpayer for information technology exports.
