Elon Musk’s X Release Increases: Dorsey’s ‘BlueSky’ Adds 2.5 Million Users After the election of Donald Trump as the US President, former Twitter founder and Chief Executive (CEO) Jack Dorsey has also benefited. After Trump was elected, millions of users left Elon Musk’s social network X and came to Dorsey’s social network BlueSky.
According to the news organization Reuters, 2.5 million new users have joined BlueSky in the last week alone, bringing the platform to 16 million users. It has been analyzed that those users came to BlueSky as an alternative to X.
When Trump won the presidency on November 6, X’s traffic in the US reached more than 46.5 million, the most this year. However, on the same day, more than 150,000 users in America deactivated their X account. Similarly, on the same day, BlueSky received 1.2 million more traffic.
Another reason for the increase in the number of users on BlueSky after the American election is the change in X’s terms of service. According to the new terms, all X-related legal cases will be filed only in the Northern District Court of Texas or Tarrant County Courts. It has been analyzed that the user left X saying that the judges favoring Musk will give the case in favor of X.
