Third Day Of Badadasai: Worship Of Chandraghanta Devi Was Done On the third day of Navratri, Chandraghanta Devi, the third of the nine Durgas, is ritually worshipped in Dasain Ghar or Pooja Kotha. Chandraghanta, the third goddess of Navadurga, holds a bell with a moon base in her hand, so it has been mentioned in various books that her name is Chandraghanta.
Also known as Durga Paksha, Shailaputri is worshipped on the first day, Brahmacharini on the second day, Chandraghanta on the third day, Kushmanda on the fourth day, Skandamata on the fifth day, Katyayani on the sixth day, Kalratri on the seventh day, Mahagauri on the eighth day and Siddhidatri on the ninth day. These nine forms of Durga are also called Navadurga.
During Navratri, there is a crowd of devotees who worship and darshan at Shaktipeeth all over the country. Shaktipeeths all over the country are crowded with devotees from early morning. On the first day of Navratri, on Thursday, Dasain, barley Jamra was kept in the house or pooja room according to the Vedic ritual.
On the same day, Shailputri, the first goddess among the nine Durgas, was worshipped at the place where the desecration was done. On the second day, on Friday, the second Brahmacharini Devi was invoked and ritually worshipped at the place of worship, and on the third day today, Chandraghanta Devi was worshipped with devotion.
On this basis, Vedic Sanatan Dharma devotees perform special worship of Goddess Durga every year from Ashwin Shukla Pratipada to Navami.
Prasad, which is worshipped for nine days, is taken from Vijayadashami to the day of Kojagrata Purnima. In this way, Nepali people celebrate Badadasai festival for 15 days. It has been established as a national festival of Nepal.
