According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Zuckerberg’s wealth increased by 73.4 billion dollars at once, and the total wealth reached 201 billion dollars (about 268 billion rupees more).
Zuckerberg remains at the top fourth position of the richest list. Before him are Bernard Arnault, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk respectively. Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has a net worth of more than $272 billion. He is in the top position of wealth. Similarly, Bezos is in second place with $211 billion in assets and Arnault is in third place with $27 billion in assets.
The 40-year-old Zuckerberg, who launched the social network Facebook in 2004, has most of his wealth based on the stock of the Metaka platform. Meta’s share has increased by 64 per cent in 2024. According to the news media CNN, on Wednesday, Meta’s shares reached their highest point (568.31 dollars).
Meta manages social networks Facebook, Instagram, Threads and messaging app WhatsApp.
Zuckerberg isn’t the only person to amass a fortune this year. In 2024, the fortunes of chip maker Nvidia founder Jason Huang and Oracle founder Larry Ellison have also increased by $62.2 billion and $58.6 billion, respectively.
