What Is Windows Terminal And How to Use It

What Is Windows Terminal And How to Use It When you see the Windows or Mac we use, it looks modern. This system is very easy to use because of the graphics and icons in it. However, internally, it works through the decades-old technology ‘command line.’ It is a command line text- based interface.

The command line is considered the foundation of the operating system. When computers were not as modern as they are now, any work had to be done through commands. In other words, clicking on an icon was not as easy as opening a file or program. The file was opened only when a command (instruction) was given to open a particular file than in normal language.

If you are from the older generation, you may remember that when opening an app or software, you used to open the program by typing a command instead of clicking on an icon. Now, in the modern age,e it is easy to use a computer. However, the method of opening a program by typing a command is still used.

However, after the arrival of the modern Windows terminal, using the same base.

Follow the below procedure to open the terminal:

1) To shut down the computer at any time you want

shutdown/s/t600

Turning off the computer is not that complicated. However, the terminal also gives you some additional features. For example, if you want to shut down the computer after 20 minutes, you can type the code shutdown/s/t600. Here, ‘t’ shows the time as seconds.

600 seconds means 20 minutes. That is, if you put this command, your computer will shut down after 20 minutes. Similarly, if you want to restart the computer, you can type shutdown-r-o command. “r” means to restart the computer.

sfc /scannow

Like other command lines, sfc /scannow is also an important command line. In particular, you can use this code to solve any problem you encounter on your computer. This code checks for problems in the operating system and performs repairs where necessary. You can use this code if you find any weakness in the computer.
