Demand For iPhone 16 Pro Model Is Low In The Market: What Is The Reason There are reports that iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max did not get the expected response in the market. Market analyst Ming-Chi Kuo noted that the demand for these models is much lower than expected.
Apple opened pre-orders for the iPhone 16 series on Friday. But Kuo said that the demand for these models has dropped a lot.
According to data compiled by Kuo based on supply chain surveys and shipment estimates from Apple’s online store, the first week sales of all four models of the iPhone 16 reached approximately 37 million units. This number is 13 percent less than last year’s first-week sales of the iPhone 15 series.
Low demand for Pro models, in particular, has led to a decline in overall sales, Kuo said. iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max sales are estimated to have declined by 27 percent and 16 percent, respectively, compared to the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max.
Currently, demand for iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus is higher than for iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus in the first week, but the low demand for Pro models has affected overall sales, according to Kuo’s analysis.
Kuo said that the main reason for the lower-than-expected demand for the iPhone 16 Pro models is the late arrival of the Apple Intelligence feature. Even after the announcement, this feature is not available on the devices that are already on the market. According to Apple, this feature will be available only in the iOS 18.1 update coming in October.
