France Football announced the nominations of men’s player of the year, women’s player of the year, coach, young player, and goalkeeper on Wednesday night.
The funny part of the nomination is that the two superstars of world football, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, have not been nominated for the first time since 2003.
Messi has won the Ballon d’Or the most 8 times while Ronaldo has won 5 times.
Men’s Player of the Year: Jude Bellingham, Ruben Diaz, Phil Foden, Federico Valverde, Emiliano Martinez, Erling Haaland, Nico Williams, Grant Xhaka, Artem Dovbic, Toni Kroos, Vinicius Junior, Dani Olmo, Florin Witz, Martin Odegaard, Mats Hummels, Rodri, Harry Kane, Declan Rice, Vitinha, Cole Palmer, Dani Carvajal, Lamin Yamal, Bucayo Saka, Hakan Calhanoglu, William Saliva, Kylian Mbappe, Lautaro Martinez, Ademola Lookman, Antonio Rudiger, Alejandro Grimaldo are among the 30 nominees.
