After the scheduled 90 minutes ended in a 1-1 draw at the Wembley ground in London, the match went directly to the penalty shootout.
Alejandro Garnacho gave United the lead in the 82nd minute. However, one minute before the end of the game, Bernardo Silva scored the equalizing goal for City.
For Naide, Bruno Fernandez, Diego Dalot, Alejandro Garnacho, and Casemiro scored on penalties. Similarly, for City, Kevin de Bruena, Erling Haaland, Savio, and goalkeeper Eder scored a penalty.
United’s Jado Sancho also failed to score. After a 4-4 draw, more penalties were awarded.
