This Is The Inner Secret Behind The Disappearance Of eSewa’s Mobile App From The Google Play Store

This Is The Inner Secret Behind The Disappearance Of eSewa’s Mobile App From The Google Play Store From the last few days, the mobile app of Esewa is not found in the Google Play Store. There is also a market rumor that Google has deleted the eSewa app due to security flaws.

But the real reason behind the removal of eSewa’s mobile app from the Play Store is something else—the mess that happened during ‘business verification’. Earlier, it was very easy for developers to publish apps on the Google Play Store.

But since last year, Google has issued a new policy for user safety and a wonderful user experience. Accordingly, if there is any problem with the details and account provided by the developer, Google will remove the developer profile and the apps in it from the Play Store.

The company was a Pvt. From 28 Baisakh 2081, the company was transformed into a limited company. This issue of name change has now created a problem in the business verification of Esewa.

Google uses a Dunes (D-U-N-S) number to verify businesses and organizations, which is provided by an American company called Dune & Bradstreet. This number, a nine-digit original type, is used to verify the identity of businesses worldwide.

For business verification, Esewa’s developer team sent Google last Monday afternoon with Dunes number 557769912 and mentioned its business name, Esewa Limited. But instead of doing the verification, Google restricted the developer account, saying that the name and address of the business did not match.

The developer account also had the Eseva merchant app along with Eseva; on the same day, at around 11 pm, both apps stopped appearing in the Play Store. Google has informed that ‘developer profile and entire app have been removed from Google Play Store’ for not following its developer program policy. Until this problem is resolved, eSeva will not be able to bring back the apps removed from the developer account and publish any other apps.

Shakya said that although the company’s registration paper says ‘Esewa Public Limited Company’, the official name of the business is Esewa Limited, so it has been sent to Dun and Bradstreet for an update. “Even though it will take seven days for the name to be corrected from Doon, the updated email has arrived in the database,” he said. “On the same basis, we have appealed to Google for app re-store and account verification review. Google sent an email saying it would take seven days to consider it.”

What will affect the user?

The removal of eSewa’s app from the Google Play Store is not due to security or any other reason, but it is due to the data being changed during business verification. Previously, those whose mobiles have eSewa installed were running as usual, while there is no difference in the eSewa app available in Apple’s iOS app store.

“The app has been temporarily unpublished from the Play Store only due to the technical problem of business verification,” said Shakya. “The customer’s money in the eSewa account is safe; it does not go anywhere, and you can safely use all the services from loading funds to making payments.”

If the problem of business verification is solved, it can be expected that the Android app of eSewa will return to the Play Store within a week at most. Until then, the only option for new users who want to keep eSewa’s app on their Android mobile is to share and transfer from another mobile that has the app.
