According to Dinesh Rupakheti, head of Public Health Office Chitwan, dengue infection has increased in Ichchakamana Rural Municipality this year. He said that 45 people in the village have been infected with dengue so far.
So far 6 people have been diagnosed with dengue in Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality. He said, ‘Dengue infection is more in the market area of Ichchakamana Rural Municipality and Bharatpur Metropolitan City.’ He said that with the increase in infection, awareness has been increased in the infected areas.
From July 2080 to June 2081, 1,831 people were infected with dengue in the district. According to Chief Rupakheti, 23,840 people were tested for infection.
This mosquito thrives in plastic, tin cans, drums, bottles or old tires, pots, clean water collected in coolers, open water tanks, etc. If the water accumulated in these places is not cleaned, the outbreak of disease will increase. When you get dengue, symptoms such as eyeballs and headache, body aches, joint, bone, and muscle pain, body rashes and bleeding, and high fever appear. In the year 2078/79, 14,978 people were tested and 3,336 people were infected. He informed that four people died due to dengue that year. In the year 2079/80, when five thousand four hundred and fifty-four people were tested, three hundred and three people were found to be infected with dengue.
