19 Passengers In The Sourya Airline That Had An Accident According to the Nepal Aviation Authority, 19 passengers on the plane of Sourya Airlines had an accident.
Information officer of the Civil Aviation Authority, Gyanendra Bhul informed that the aircraft of Sourya, 9N-AME/CRJ 200 callsign, crashed at 11:11 am on Wednesday.
The plane took off from Runway 02 and crashed near Runway 20 to the east, the airport said.
SSP Dineshraj Mainali, spokesperson of Kathmandu Valley Police Office Ranipokhari, informed Setopati that 37-year-old Captain Manish Shakya was rescued and taken to KMC Hospital.
Firefighters, police, and the Nepalese army were mobilized when smoke was seen coming from the ship.
There were 19 passengers on board. The ship flew from Kathmandu to Pokhara.
