18 Lakh 39 Thousand Smartphones Entered The Nepali Market In One Year More than 1.8 million smartphones have entered the Nepali market in one year. According to the statistics of the Customs Department, in the financial year 080/81, 18 lakh 39 thousand 35 smartphones were imported into Nepal, the value of which is about two billion 866 million rupees.
Most smartphones are imported from China, 13 lakh 32 thousand 43 phones, the total value of which is equal to one billion 89 crore rupees. After China, smartphones are imported from India, America, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates.
This year’s import is 15 percent more than last year. In the financial year 079/80, 15 lakh 69 thousand 596 smartphones were imported, the value of which was 2 billion 43 crore 76 lakh rupees.
The state has collected revenue of Rs 533.39 million from this year’s smartphone import.
