Elon Musk’s Quip After Windows Went Down: Microsoft Went Hard Not Soft On Friday, Microsoft’s enterprise customers worldwide had to face problems. While updating the Falcon antivirus of Crowdstrike that they use, a blue screen appeared when the computer was turned off and turned on.
Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur and owner of social network X, has made it the subject of trolls. He reposted a meme quote posted six hours ago by an account called Dodge Designer. In that meme, an X user is shown sitting and watching the problems faced by Windows clients. Musk supported the sarcasm by putting a laughing emoji on the post.
After some time, he shared his post from 2021 again. In that post, it is said that MacroHard is better than Microsoft. Musk satirically called macro as opposed to micro and hard as opposed to soft as’macrohard’. In other words, he meant that Microsoft would be hard (complex) from time to time. He boosted that post.
When there is a problem with the Falcon update of Crowdstrike, Microsoft’s services are also affected. Especially when the computer does not open, the user is able to use the apps inside Microsoft 365. The company has said that this issue has been resolved.
However, cyber security experts have suggested deleting the update manually, as this problem has arisen due to the update.
- For that, press the Shift + F8 button before the computer starts and the Windows logo appears.
- Then select ‘Safe Mode’ from the Advanced Boot option.
- After doing this, press Windows + E and go to File Explorer.
- And go to the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\Crowdstrike directory.
- And find and delete the “C-000000291*.sys” file.
Then boot the computer properly. The company said that after doing this, the problem would be solved.
