Social Media Users Took A Dig At Virat Kohli After Promoting Nepali Himal As India After Indian cricketer Virat Kohli placed Nepalese mountains in his video, social media users in Nepal have taken a dig at him. Nepali Himal has been used in his video made while congratulating the Indian team participating in Paris 2024.
Kohli shared the video last Monday through his various social networks. The video was made after his fashion company, Wrogn, sponsored the Indian athletes participating in the Paris Olympics. However, the use of Nepal’s mountains in the beginning of the video is being criticized.
By searching the screenshot reverse image of the said mountain, it can be known that Chulu is the eastern mountain within the Annapurna region. Within the Annapurna range, along with Chulu East, Annapurna 2nd, Annapurna 3rd, Annapurna 4th, Tilicho, Pisang, Manaslu, Chuchuro 38, Thorang, etc., are snow peaks.
Talking to a mountaineer who has spent a long time climbing the mountain, he said that it was difficult to identify the exact mountain as Kohli’s video was not a landscape but a portrait. But he said that this mountain could be eastern Chulu.
Dishe Bani writes, “Dear Virat Kohli, expand your intelligence on platforms other than cricket. If you don’t know the reality of what you are posting, how are you sharing it without verifying it? Have you seen any Nepalese claim that Indian property is ours? We don’t have that bad habit.”
Similarly, Ujjwal Singh has written, “I am surprised that this person who lacks intelligence has become the captain who claims that the mountains of Nepal are in his territory.”
