A Luxury Resort Will Be Built In Raratal in Mugu with an investment of 1 billion 10 million by Australia’s Expert Group and Nepal’s Rara Holding.
Tourists have been suffering due to a lack of hotels and resorts to visit Raratal. Abhishek Vikram Shah, the owner of Rara Holding, said that they are going to build a luxury resort targeting Nepali, Indian, and other foreign tourists visiting Rara.
Shah claims that the resort, which will be built at a height of 3,749 meters above sea level, will be the first of its kind in Nepal.
“Nowadays, many Nepalis have put Rara as a must-visit destination, but there is a problem due to the lack of accommodation facilities,” Shah told Online Khabar. “To solve this problem, there is a plan to build a five-star luxury resort.”
He said that the resort to be built in 80 Ropani areas in Murmattop above Raratal will be based on local architecture. The name of the resort will be ‘Rara Resort’.
Shah said that in the first phase, about Rs 70 crore will be invested in this resort, and in the second phase about Rs 40 crore will be invested. He said that 80 Ropani of private land has been bought from local residents to build the resort.
He informed that the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the resort has reached its final stage and the map pass process will be started as soon as it is approved.
We have thought of keeping it in line with the rates of Chandragiri Hills, The Terraces Resort, and others in Kathmandu. We are aware that the room rates should not be expensive even when we reach Rara,” he said.
Although this resort will be in the style of Sintamani Mustang, the room and package rates will be cheaper, he says.
The resort will also have helipad and spa facilities. Tourists traveling by helicopter can reach the resort directly, while those traveling by road and air will have to walk for some time to reach the resort.
He said that since many Indian tourists go to see Mansarovar through Humla Hilsa, he wanted Rara to be their destination as well. “The aim is that tourists going to Hilsa should stay here for one night and visit Raratal,” he said.
Although Karnali is a unique destination due to its natural beauty, not enough tourists can reach it due to the inconvenience of transportation and accommodation. After the construction of this resort, the number of tourists going there will increase. The company’s goal is to complete the construction of the resort within one and a half years.
