The Suspension Bridge Connecting Narayangadh-Nagarvan Collapsed The flood in the river Narayani washed away the suspension bridge connecting Narayangadh-Nagaravan. District Administration Office Chitwan said that when the pillars on both sides of the bridge were destroyed, the bridge also collapsed.
Domestic tourists used to go for a walk in Nagarban, which is located between the two banks of the Narayani River. A statue of BP Koirala is also kept here.
District Administration Office Chitwan has informed that after the flood in Narayani River passed the alert level, the residents of the coastal area have been moved to different safe places.
Bharatpur Metropolitan City Ward No. 59 people including 26 women and 33 men have been shifted to safe places from 16 Gumbachos.
They were moved to relatives’ houses and some sought shelter. The house goods are also being moved with the help of boats.
3 men and 1 woman living in the building occupied by 3 Bal Kumari Nursing College of Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality have been handed over to their relatives.
