Adult Content Started Coming In X It’s only been a while since Social Media X adopted the policy of allowing adult content. After this policy, users can share adult content and graphics on the platform.
However, not all types of users can view and post adult content. The company does not allow users under 18 years of age to view adult content.
However, many users say that they see such content regularly, even if they don’t want to. If you are getting ‘Not Safe for Work’ (NSFW) posts in your X feed too, there are some ways, with the help of which you can stop such posts.
Make the account ‘Under 18’
X himself has made the account ‘under 18’ and said that adult content will not be seen. In that case, you cannot put the date of birth in your account, or even if you do, you can put it so that it does not reach 18 years.
What should be remembered here is that if the date of birth is not disclosed in the account, it is automatically counted as ‘under 18’.
Block certain words
Not all adult content on X is labeled as sensitive media. Because of this, you may have to mute some related words yourself. When you mute such words, X automatically removes any posts containing those words from your feed.
Open X for this
- Tap on your profile and tap on Settings and Support.
- Click on ‘Privacy and Safety’ and go to ‘Mute and Block’.
- Click on ‘Mute Words’ from the various options that appear there.
- In the new interface, a plus sign will appear at the bottom of the right side. By clicking on it, mention the words you want to close in the upper part and click on ‘Save’ which appears in the upper right part.
What should we do to hide sensitive media?
- First, open your X account.
- Tap on the profile to reach Settings and Support.
- Click on ‘Privacy and Safety’ and tap on ‘Content UK’.
- One of the options that appear there is to go inside ‘Sensitive Media’.
- Now click on Graphics Violence and Adult Content and select ‘Warn’ or ‘Never See This’.
