National ID Number Is Mandatory For Social Security Allowance The government has taken some flexible policies to reduce the increased crowd after making the national identity card number mandatory for social security allowance in 28 districts. The Ministry of Home Affairs published a notice on Monday and arranged for the social security allowance to be available from Shrawan 1, even if the national identity card number is received by the end of Shrawan.
In the first phase, the government has decided to require a national identity card number for social security allowances in 28 designated districts from Shrawan 1. Due to this, there has been an increase in the number of service users registering details for national identity cards at the district administration offices.
In this regard, the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a press release drawing attention to the fact that even senior citizens and disabled people are uncomfortable in getting services.
In the districts where the national identity card number is mandatory for social security purposes, there is a legal provision that social security allowance will be available from July 1 if the identity card of the beneficiary is renewed by obtaining the identity number by the middle of the year. Children, people who cannot take care of themselves, the disabled, the helpless, and senior citizens over 90 years of age do not need a National Identity Number to receive Social Security Allowance.
Correspondence has also been sent to all the district administration offices to make necessary arrangements for service delivery to the service receivers who come to the district administration offices immediately in the case of the disabled and first come first served in the case of others.
The House has mentioned that instructions have also been given to the relevant Chief District Officer to arrange the arrangement of data collection at the entire ward level in coordination with the relevant local levels, targeting senior citizens and the disabled.
