Worldlink Internet Reached 9 Lakh Households The number of households with Internet connection of Worldlink Communications, the country’s largest Internet service provider, has exceeded nine lakh. Established in 1995 i.e. 29 years ago, Worldlink has recently reached this new high in the number of customers.
29 years ago today, the journey of Worldlink started with a computer and an email server brought from America by the founder of the company, Dilip Agarwal. The company which is expanding its services after receiving permission from the Nepal Telecommunication Authority. In May 2074, it was able to provide an internet connection to one lakh customers.
A year after that, i.e. by June 2075, the number of customers of the company exceeded two lakh, and in January of the same year, the company succeeded in connecting three lakh customers to its network by crossing another figure.
In this way, while continuously expanding the service and providing services to the customers, the company reached eight lakhs in August 2080 and less than a year after that, Worldlink reached another new height. In this way, the company has increased one lakh customers in the last nine months. “Crossing the milestone of nine lakh households is proof of the trust shown by the customers towards Worldlink’s services,” Keshav Nepal, the CEO of the company, expressed his gratitude to the customers. We are committed to further expanding our services and capabilities to provide more efficient and quality services to our customers.”
Today, Worldlink has established itself as the largest employer in the country. Currently, more than 5300 employees are working at Worldlink. Through a total of 130 branches, the company is providing internet in 73 districts of the seven provinces of the country. The company said that it will soon expand its services to the remaining 4 districts.
According to the latest statistics of the Nepal Telecommunication Authority, currently, the company occupies 35 percent market share of the total Internet market of Nepal, while currently, 40 percent of the country’s total Internet traffic flows through Worldlink. The company is also providing free WiFi at more than 14,000 locations in the country through WiFi Express. According to the Nepal Telecommunication Authority, one internet connection is used by 4.3 users on average.
In addition, the company has succeeded in receiving awards such as ‘The Digital Transformation Award‘, Corporate Excellence ISP Award, and others through the Asian-Ocean Computing Industry Organization (ASCO).

According to the company, the figure of nine lakh customers was achieved at 5:31 pm on Tuesday.
