Now Google Messages Supports Satellite Connectivity With Android 15, Google has been continuously working on the satellite connectivity feature. According to new information released in various media, this feature will be available in Google Messages and users will be able to chat with anyone in any situation.
According to Nine to Five Google, the new APK Insights of Google Messages have shown signs of future features. Recently, the signal of satellite connectivity has been seen in the new version of Google Message released by Google on the Play Store. While decompiling the APK file, many such codes have been found, in which the indication of that feature has been given.
If this signal is to be considered as the basis, it cannot be said immediately whether Google will bring this feature or not. Because Google has not brought some features that have been hinted at before. However, in terms of satellite connectivity features, it is said that the company is more likely to bring it.
Beta version 20240329-01-RC00 shows how satellite messaging works in Google Messages. According to these insights, the user must be under the open sky to be able to send messages through satellite connectivity. Similarly, it takes a long time to send messages from this feature, and photos and videos cannot be sent. It can also be used to chat with anyone in any situation.
Apple released the satellite connectivity feature with the iPhone 14. Using this feature, users can connect and share locations with emergency responders and roadside assistants in case of emergency. However, they cannot send messages. Emergency messages can be sent only to emergency contact numbers.
Android 15 showed a demo of the ‘Auto Connect to Satellite’ system-level notification. It read ‘You can receive and send messages without Wi-Fi or mobile data’. A satellite icon was shown on the status bar and an ‘Open Message’ shortcut was placed on the screen.
