Elon Musk has Revealed the Source Code of his Company’s Grok AI Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has made his company’s AI tool available to everyone in an open source model. Musk’s company XAI has made the base code of the Grok AI model publicly available through GitHub.
Musk hinted last week about open-sourcing the Grok AI model, which was only released in March 2023. Within a short period, Musk made Grok AI an open source.
Although Grok AI is provided as open source, the training code is also provided. The open-source model published by X AI through a blog post is not at the level of special applications such as communication. Similarly, this model has been licensed based on ‘Apache License 2.0’. Which allows commercial use.
Currently, Grok AI X Premium Plus users can use it. In some cases, this AI even gets access to X’s data. It is said that there is no data related to social networks in the open-source model.
But Musk has been criticizing companies that do not open source their AI models. In which OpenAI is his main target. He also had a role in establishing the company. The same company was established to work for non-profit and humanitarian interests, but now it has become profit-oriented, Musk has also filed a lawsuit.
Currently, apart from Xi, other big companies have also made their AI models available as open source. In which there are from Meta to Google. AI models such as Meta’s LLaMa (LLaMa), Google’s Gemma Tooby and Gemma Seven Bee, Mistral, Falcon, etc. are available as open source.
