Elon Musk Says AI will Surpass Human Intelligence by 2029 The owner of Tesla, Elon Musk, has claimed that artificial intelligence (AI) will surpass human intelligence by the end of 2029. Futurist Ray Kurzweil shared a conversation with famous podcaster Joe Rogan on X, and Musk said that AI will overcome human intelligence by 2029.
In a podcast with Reagan, Kurzweil analyzed the growth of technology. In his analysis, humans have been increasing their capabilities in computational, algorithmic, and data processing. Kurzweil said that these advances will eventually lead to AI surpassing human intelligence.
Common people think that it will take another hundred years for AI to overcome human intelligence. But I think AI will probably surpass human intelligence within the next five years,” he said on the podcast. “Again, I talked about this kind of progress in AI in 1999.”
Responding to Kurzweil’s statement, Musk, who continues to talk about the impact of AI, also said that AI will become more intelligent than humans. “By 2029, AI will probably be smarter than any human. Maybe smarter than all humans,” Musk wrote while sharing the post.
