Martyr’s Day in Nepal 2080, which is celebrated every year on Magh 16 according to the Nepali calendar, is being celebrated across the country today in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the establishment and restoration of democracy and the freedom of different eras.
From January 24th to 30th, various programs have been announced to celebrate Martyrs’ Week. Since the year 2002 BS, under the coordination of the then Kathmandu Municipality, every year on Magh 16, Martyr’s Day has been celebrated.
In 1997 BS, martyr Shukraraj Shastri was executed at Pachali in Teku, Kathmandu, on Magh 10, Dharma Bhakta Mathema was executed at Sifal on Magh 13, and Gangalal Shrestha and Dasharath Chand were executed at Shova Bhagwati on Magh 15 by the Rana ruler while demanding independence.
On this day, all four leaders gave themselves and did a lot of work to make something happen for Nepal, and because of their bravery and their sufferings on this day, this face is now in Nepal. On this day, people wanted a very big war or some kind of freedom, and it happened in Nepal today. While he was protesting, four people together raised their voices. They issued these things in Kathmandu on this day; it happened with them, and their truth was also won.
It has been celebrated since the beginning; even today, in their memory, we have understood many things and done many things. I read about this thing about two and a half years ago. I was taught this clearly during my school life, and I remember these things. Even Nepal still does that work.
