A mobile app made by a 22-year-old Nepali youth sold for 70 lakhs made by a young Nepali developer has been sold for around 70 lakh rupees. Android app Pick Up Lines – Flirt Messages (Pick Up Lines – Flirt Messages) created by Karna Bahadur Budha Chhetri of Bardia Bansgarhi-5 was recently sold for this amount.
According to him, this app helps to have sweet, fun, and memorable conversations with friends/relatives. A collection of pickup lines has been kept in the app.
This app, which runs on the version above Android 5.1, was uploaded by Karna to the Google Play Store last year, i.e. in November 2022. But after a short time many people liked the app and the number of downloads also increased rapidly, he said
He said the Israeli company Rounds AI, which bought the app, sent him a purchase offer in October.
Especially the users of Africa and Europe were increasing on the app. Revenue was steadily increasing,” he continued, “around the same time Rounds AI offered to buy the app for $25,000.
More than 8 lakh people have downloaded the app. I doubted that I would buy it. After studying about the company later, I was convinced. And the matter of buying and selling went forward,” he said.
After that, in a short conversation, Rounds AI agreed to purchase the app for 53 thousand dollars (including tax) on November 14 (November 29), he said.
Now he has transferred the app to an Israeli company. Also, by December 8 (Mansir 22), he has received the money for selling the app
He studied for three years for a Diploma in Computer Engineering from CTEVT after SEE and started in Android App Development in 2020.
So far, he has uploaded more than two dozen apps on the Play Store. He is thinking of contributing to the technology sector of NEPA. Previously active in the freelancing platform Upwork, he thinks that he should not go abroad, rather he can earn income by working in Nepal.
