Makwanpur was the epicenter of the earthquake. According to the National Earthquake Measurement and Research Center, an earthquake of 4.5 magnitude occurred around Chitlang in Makwanpur at 1:19 AM.
The shock of the earthquake was also felt in Kathmandu Valley and surrounding areas. The National Earthquake Measurement Center has not yet updated further details on this.
