NSW Labor Prue Car diagnosed with cancer has come together in support of NSW Labor leader, Prue Car, who has been diagnosed with cancer. The NSW Health Minister, Brad Hazzard (who is also the Member for Heathcote), shared the news on Facebook, “I’m saddened to learn of Prue Car’s diagnosis of cancer. My thoughts and prayers are with Prue and Cate.”

The news about Prue’s Car has shocked the whole NSW Labor community. On the anniversary of her birthday, the Labor leader and her husband, Stephen, announced on Aug 24 that she has been diagnosed with cancer.

Prue Car was elected to state parliament as the Member for North Shore in Nov 2015, after working as a journalist and lawyer. She made headlines in Sept last year when she and her then-fiance Matthew Harris moved a motion to suspend parliamentary proceedings so they could get married.

NSW Labor leader Luke Foley’s partner, Prue Car, has been diagnosed with cancer. In a Facebook post, the leader said Car had an appointment with a specialist on Friday, where the doctor said she had “very early stage” breast cancer.

Prue Car, the NSW Labor MP for Wollongong, has been diagnosed with cancer. The 54-year-old mother of two will undergo treatment for the next few months but has vowed to fight the disease and return to work as soon as possible.

Ms. Car was elected to the NSW Legislative Assembly in 2015 and has been a strong voice for the Illawarra region. She has been a passionate advocate for better public transport and infrastructure and has been working hard to improve the local economy.

The news of her diagnosis has come as a shock to the community, but Ms. Car is determined to beat cancer and continue serving the people of Wollongong.

Prue Car has played an important role in the New South Wales Labor Government that has been in power since 2011. She has been the Minister for Ageing, Disability Services, and Women since 2015 and was recently promoted to Minister for Mental Health and Minister for Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. She is also a former Minister for Arts and Culture (2012-2015).

We at the NSW Labor Party extend our thoughts and prayers to Prue and her family, as well as to all those who are currently diagnosed with cancer, and their families. We thank Prue for everything she has done to serve the people of NSW and wish her the best for a full recovery.
