Downloaded From the Third-Party App store on the iPhone iOS users in countries belonging to the European Union (EU) will soon be able to download apps from third-party app stores. In a blog post on Tuesday, the company informed us that in the initial phase, it is going to arrange arrangements for EU developers to be able to distribute the app on any website.
According to the company, the developer can distribute the app through their own or any other website. However, the domain of the website must be registered with Appstore Connect. Earlier, the facility to download apps from platforms other than the App Store was not provided.
According to the company, to install the app from the developer’s website, the user must allow the app to be installed in the settings. Then, while installing the app, the system sheet will show the developer name, app name, app description screenshot, and system age rating.
Now Android users can download apps from third-party app stores. While installing the downloaded app, a message appears that installing such an app may be dangerous. However, it is said that there will be a more complicated process on iOS.
The company mentioned in the blog that this is a standard designed to keep all users safe. The company has not given official information about when this feature will be available in other regions.
