Narayangadh Muglin Road will be closed for 4 hours daily from 7th of Poush Road project engineer Krishna Acharya informed that the road will be closed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day for 3 weeks from 7th of January for the purpose of cutting the hill for the construction of a bridge in Tuin River.
The meeting of stakeholders held at the district administration office in Chitwan has decided to close the road for three weeks, cut the hill, and prepare the foundation for the bridge.
Last year too, for the construction of a bridge in that section, the road was closed from the 5th of Poush, and the mountain wall was cut. Elsewhere, bridges were built by cutting mountains, but when hard rocks were found in the Tuin River towards Muglin, the project concluded that the mountains could only be cut by blasting.
Similarly, this time a breaker of 38 tons will also be used, he informed. Earlier, a 22-ton breaker was used. According to information officer Acharya, an attempt will be made to break the rock with the help of the rock splitter, hydraulic Jack Hember.
Last year, an attempt was made to cut the rock from a 60-meter-high place by closing the road on the hill of the Tuin River for almost three months. After harder-than-expected rock was found in the mountains above the Tuin River, the project moved to the option of blasting the mountain through a controlled blast.
2 bridges in Package 1 are yet to be built; 5 bridges have been built by Chisenji, Kali, Tope, Nyamsi, and Rigdikhola. The cost of the bridge in package 1 is 670 million, 999 lakh, 59 thousand rupees, and the cost of the bridge in package 2 is 59 million, 5 lakh, 59 thousand rupees.
An agreement was reached on Chaitra 10, 2076, to build the bridge. The contract expires at the end of January. The contractor, Anak Construction, has requested an extension of one year to build the remaining two bridges.
During this time, people will be able to use this one. Even the development will be updated this season. Since a longer time, the road will be made distrub while traveling from Chitwan to Pokhara, and the rest of the place will go there.
Since last year, the road might be getting distrub the whole time we can spend over there. A lot of people will be waiting to travel here and there.
