Starlink Internet In Nepal: Dialogue Between Oli And Elon Musk Invitation To Musk To Visit Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk have held a video conversation. Oli gave information about the conversation with Musk in a post on social media on Friday evening. He wrote – “I am talking to Elon Musk right now.”
The discussion reportedly focused on bringing Starlink Internet to Nepal. Oli and Musk had a conversation for about 11 minutes through Microsoft Teams. During the conversation, Musk expressed his desire to bring Starlink Internet service to Nepal and informed him about its benefits and convenience.
Earlier, Starlink had planned to launch its service in Nepal by 2023. During that time, it was informed that preparations were being made to expand the service after discussing it with officials of the Nepal Telecommunications Authority. However, Starlink had to back down due to legal obstacles.
Starlink has been enthusiastic after the Nepal government announced its plan to operate satellite-based internet services in its latest policy and program. The company has sent its representatives to hold discussions at the government level. A month ago, Starlink representatives met Prime Minister Oli and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung and proposed a plan to bring internet to remote and remote areas of Nepal.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Oli has formally invited Musk to visit Nepal during the dialogue. He informed Musk on his social media account X that he had invited Musk to visit. Musk’s response to this has not been disclosed.
Prime Minister Oli also congratulated the new US President Donald Trump through Musk. Musk had played a significant role in helping Donald Trump win the recently concluded US presidential election. After this, Trump announced that he would appoint Musk to lead the US Department of Government Efficiency. This appointment has allowed Musk to play an important role at the centre of the US administration.
