Now You Can Run Linux On Your Android Phone Now it is possible to run Linux apps (only run on Linux OS) even on Android phones. Google is working to support Linux apps on Android.
This feature will be similar to the Linux support that Google has added to Chromebooks. After this, apps that are not available on Android like Android Studio can be easily run. However, now you can run Linux apps on Android using other means. But now such a feature is coming officially.
Android Authority has written that the engineers have started work to create a terminal app for this. The terminal app will be part of the Android Virtualization Framework (AVF). It creates an environment for running Linux commands on Android phones.
Through this, it is said that Linux can be connected to the virtual machine and Linux commands can be run. Google engineers have started working to make this terminal app more user-friendly. This change is expected to be released with the Android 16 update.
