Chasing a target of 177 runs, Oman were all out for 139 runs in 19.1 overs. Oman’s Shoaib Khan scored 45 runs off 39 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes.
Rafiullah was out for 35 off 12 balls with 1 four and 4 sixes; Pratik Athavale 15, Khalid Kail 11, Zeeshan Maqsood 6, Ayaan Khan, and Aqib Ilyas were out for 2 runs each.
Karan KC of Nepal took 3 wickets with 36 runs in 4 overs. Gulshan Jha took 2 wickets for 14 runs in 2.1 overs. Kushal Bhurtel took 2 wickets, Rijn Dhakal, Dipendra Singh Airi, and Sandeep Lamichhane took 1 wicket each.
In Nepal’s win, Gulshan Jha played an unbeaten innings of 40 runs off 17 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes. Dipendrasingh Airey was not out for 18 runs with 2 sixes and 1 four off 5 balls.
Kushal Malla was dismissed for 30 runs off 26 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes, and Kushal Bhurtel was dismissed for 20 runs off 17 balls with 1 four and 1 six.
Akib Elias of Oman took 3 wickets for 32 runs in 4 overs. Sakil Ahmed, Fayaz Butt, and Zeeshan Maqsud took 1 wicket each.
Nepal lost to Canada by 14 runs in the first match of the triangular T20 series. They will play against Canada on Tuesday and Oman on Wednesday.
