Swastima On ‘Behuli From Meghauli’: Ronadhona Is Not Feminist It Is A Fun Film ‘Behuli from Meghauli’ is getting ready for release in Ghatasthaphana of Dashain. Nischal Basnet and Swastima Khadka produced and starred in the film, it is garnering buzz.
Swastima is making her debut as a producer with this film. This film tells the story of a 30-year-old girl who has to marry a suitable groom. Currently, Nischal and Swastima are busy promoting the film.
Swastima describes this film as a feminist film. This means it is not a feminist film with a cry. In the beginning, when I was offered the film, I thought it would be a traditional Ronadhona-type film. Directors Sajan Kafle and Aakash Kafle had submitted the script as a women-oriented film.
When she read the script, she thought the story was more fun than feminist. Even though the main character is 30 years old, he is still single and pressured by his family to get married can be seen. Thinking that the audience will be entertained by characters who are facing problems, Swastima described it as a fun film even though it is feminist.
Therefore, Swastima is not ready to consider this film as only feminist. She calls it a fun film. Don’t just think of it as a female-dominated film. Because such films tend to focus on a specific audience. It is a film to go and watch with the family with a commercial side, it is a film made with fun on a special subject, she said.
Nischal Basnet, who shared the screen with Swastima, also has the same opinion.
It is a film that can be felt more when you watch it with your family. Those who are already married will have a lot of fun remembering the past, while those who are yet to get married will realize that this is happening in my life right now.
