With the release of iOS 18, this feature will be available in the UK and Canada. End-to-end encryption text, emoji, and tapback can also be sent when sending a message in an emergency. The user does not have to pay any amount to use this feature.
Similarly, the company has also announced to expand the feature of roadside assistance via satellite. The company made this feature available in collaboration with American telecom companies AAA and Verizon.
The company is about to bring this feature in collaboration with a British company called Green Flag. For this, the user may have to pay for each SMS.
It is said that the SOS live video feature will also be available with iOS 18. This means, if you are looking for emergency help but are not in a position to send a message, you can send a live video or photo.
Apple has promised to provide all these features for free for two years. The iPhone 14 and later models feature this SOS connectivity via satellite.
