Dhruv Rathi’s Video Which Was Removed By YouTube After The Dabur Case Was Re-Uploaded After One And A Half Years: What Was The Controversy The year-long dispute between Dabur India Limited and YouTuber Dhruv Rathi has come to an end. Rathi uploaded a video on Saturday and informed that the dispute is over.

“I fought the case in court for a year and a half,” Rathi said, “Finally justice won. And the court allowed me to re-upload this video.”

The controversy is said to have settled after Rathi agreed to blur a scene similar to Dabur’s Real Fruit Juice packet in his YouTube video.

According to the Bar and Bench, Dabur had alleged that Rathi had used the material prepared for his campaign as a clip in his YouTube video. After winning the case, Rathi modified the video and re-uploaded it.

What happened?

On 14 February 2023, YouTuber Dhruv Rathi uploaded a video titled ‘Reality of Juices’ on his YouTube channel. In that video, he revealed the reality of fruit juice in packets. He discussed about where and how the fruit juice that comes in the packet is made and how it affects health.

That video became a topic of discussion on social media at that time. The matter came into the limelight after Dabur India Limited filed a case against Rathi in the Calcutta High Court for using a clip made for the advertisement of its company’s products in the video. Dabur raised the issue of copyright on one hand and on the other hand accused them of making the video to affect the brand.

The court then directed various social media to remove Rathi’s video from all platforms. After the order came, the video was removed by all platforms.

Indian media reported that the case was settled after it was agreed to blur the Dabur product footage and logo used in the Rathi video.
