India Will Help Nepal To Launch ‘Munal’ Satellite India is going to help launch the Nepali satellite ‘Munal’. In a program held in New Delhi on Saturday, an agreement was reached between the Ministry of External Affairs of India and New Space India Limited (NSIL) to provide grant support for the Monal launch.
The MoU was signed by Anurag Srivastava, Joint Secretary of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, and Arunachalam A, Director of NSIL.
It is mentioned in the memorandum of understanding that the Munal satellite built in the country with the support of the Nepal Institute of Science and Technology (NAST) will be launched for free on the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) of NSIL.
The Nepali space startup, Space Institute of Nepal (APN), assisted Nepali students in designing and building this satellite. The purpose of this satellite is to create a vegetation density database of the earth’s surface.
