Pakistan’s Nadeem Won Gold In The Olympics Beating Niraj Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem has won gold in the Paris Olympics with a record. Nadeem won gold in men’s javelin throw under athletics by throwing 92.97 meters. Nadeem won the gold after beating India’s Niraj Chopra who won gold in the Tokyo Olympics.
This is also the first gold won by Pakistan in athletics. Earlier, Pakistan had won three gold medals in hockey at the Olympics. Nadim broke the Olympic record of 90.57 meters set by Andres Thorkildsen of Norway in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Niraj Chopra, who is planning to win gold in the Olympics for the second time in a row, won the silver by throwing 89.45 meters. Anderson Peters of Grenada won the bronze with a throw of 88.54m.
