A Neuralink Computer Chip Was Also Placed In Another Person’s Brain The Neuralink chip has been successfully implanted in the second person in the world. Elon Musk, owner of the brain chip manufacturer Neuralink, speaking in a podcast, informed that the second person had successfully implanted the chip.
The company developed the chip to enable paralyzed people to control digital devices based on their thoughts. The company claims that after chip implantation, people with spinal cord injuries can easily control digital devices.
Musk has said that the company has implanted a chip in a second person for that purpose. On Friday, Lex Friedman’s eight-hour podcast with famous people from around the world was released. Musk said this in the same podcast.
According to Musk, the chip has already been implanted in the second person and it has already started working. “I can’t be convinced right now. But the second implant is going very well,” Musk said in the podcast. “There are many signals, many electrodes. It is working very well.”
In the podcast, Musk did not reveal when the company completed the implant in the second person, The Guardian noted. Musk has now announced that eight more people will be implanted with the chip and will be trialed.
A podcast in which the first chip-implanted person shared his thoughts was also released some time ago. In that podcast, he said that he is independent after the chip implant.
After implanting the chip, Noland had to face harassment due to the small wire of the chip. Reuters published a report that such a problem was also observed when chips were implanted in animals.
