Host France entered the quarterfinals with 100 percent victory, while gold contenders Argentina and Spain also reached the last eight. The Asian country Japan has also made it to the knockout stage by winning 100 percent in the group stage.
America along with host France from Group A, Morocco, and Argentina from Group B, Egypt, and Spain from Group C, and Japan and Paraguay from Group D have made it to the last eight.
In last night’s match, France defeated New Zealand 3-0 and became the winner of Group A. France added 9 points from 3 games.
In Group B, Argentina beat Ukraine 2-0 and became the group runner-up. In the next match, Morocco defeated Iraq 3-0 to win Group B.
