Millions Of Apps Can Be Deleted From The Google Play Store Google is working towards making Android as safe and reliable as iOS. In recent months we have seen many iPhone-like features coming to Android.
Android 15 comes with a complete set of security and privacy features. One thing where Android lags behind the iPhone, however, is the inability to keep dangerous apps out of the Play Store. Although Google Play Protect keeps many users safe, the risks and challenges are increasing more and more.
Meanwhile, Google has taken more serious steps to eliminate this problem. Android 15 is bringing a live threat detection feature, which will analyze apps that take sensitive permissions and interact with other apps and services through on-device AI and instantly identify malicious apps.
Google is currently working on a new plan, under which a large number of Android apps will be said goodbye. Google can remove tens of thousands of such apps from its platform, which are of low quality and do not work well.
However, the company has made some changes to spam and minimum quality standards. By which the quality of the app and its experience can be improved. In Google’s new policy, it is mentioned that apps with little content and not properly designed will be removed.
This includes apps that only contain written content and single wallpaper apps. There are complaints that such apps are not installed properly. Also, it crashes after installation. According to Google, the app should be stable, responsive, and have a good user experience.
After all, the app listed in the app store should have good quality and user experience. Earlier, in 2023, Google removed 2.28 million apps from the Play Store for violating the policy. It also canceled the submission of two lakh applications.
Google has given six weeks to the developers to make their app standard, within that period the app should be made user-friendly and secure. Otherwise, after 31st August, low-quality and unsafe apps will be removed from Google Play Store.
