Prime Minister Oli’s Plan To Install A Nepalese Satellite In Space Prime Minister KP Oli Sharma has said that Nepal will establish its own satellite line in space. Speaking during the vote of confidence in Parliament today, the Prime Minister announced the plan to install its own satellite in space using the orbital slot owned by Nepal.
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) provided two geostationary orbital slots for Nepal in 2017. 50 degrees are for broadcast satellite services (BSS) and 123 degrees are for fixed satellite services (FSS).
Earlier, in 2019, Nepal sent a satellite called ‘Nepali Sat One’ in collaboration with the Japanese government. Now, ‘Danfe’ and ‘Munal’ are being prepared for launch.
