Then it takes over the accessibility feature of the device. Accessibility features are being misused to steal sensitive information from devices. However, in this case, the malware can completely take control of the device.
It is said that this will affect users who install malware-infected apps on various platforms. It is said that there is a threat of snobbery in the app that looks real but is available on third-party platforms.
This malware is said to target Android users on the Asian continent. As Promon’s spokesperson told PC Magazine, it is not yet clear how many users’ devices have this malware. Researchers say that this malware is spreading rapidly in South Asia. According to Google, no apps infected with Snowblind malware have been found on Google Play so far.
“Google Play Protect automatically protects the user from these types of malware,” Google said. “Since it is available by default in the Google Play service, the user does not have to do anything.” Similarly, Google Play Protect informs or blocks apps containing malware that users have downloaded from other platforms.”
