When an iPhone’s Crash Detection Helped Locate a Teenage Girl in an Accident Apple’s crash detection feature has helped to find a teenager who was killed in an off-road accident, according to New Zealand’s administration. Two teenagers, Joanna Beach and Bondi Rihanna Richmond, died in an accident in Mount Richmond Forest Park on the south island of New Zealand.

They were passing through the Bibez Nob track on April 8, 2024, at 11 pm local time on a four-wheeler. He got into an accident at the same time. It is said that they did not collide with other vehicles. According to the New Zealand Herald, police said, “The cause of the accident is still being investigated and will be reported by the investigating officer; however, the vehicle was found on the downhill side.”

According to Apple Insider, the police and rescuers said that they received an alert about the accident through the crash detection feature on the iPhone of a teenager who was in an accident.

“The location pinpointed by the alert played an important role in locating the deceased girls,” they said. This is not the first time that Apple’s crash detection has informed about the accident.
