Memory Added to ChatGPT: Now your Old Conversations will also be Remembered ChatGPT is on its way to becoming the most reliable assistant for users. What you say about yourself, your interests and your preferences will not only be remembered, but chatGPT will remember those things and communicate with you in your future chats.
While this may seem like a small change, it will make generative AI more human-like and pave the way for general AI. It can make the AI brain operate like the gray matter in your head.
OpenAI recently announced its limited-scale testing in a blog post. According to which the company is testing the ability to remember what you say in all your chats in both the paid version of ChatGPT Plus and the free version.
The advantage of having a memory in ChatGPT is that now your conversations with ChatGPT will not start from scratch. However, a fresh prompt may apply in the case of the subject context.
According to OpenAI, the memory will apply to future prompts. If you’ve ever told a chatbot that you have a three-year-old who likes giraffes, then when thinking about a birthday card, it might give you the idea of a card with a giraffe on it.
ChatGPT will not simply repeat your interests and desires in the usual parroting fashion, but it will use that information to effectively work for you.
